This is the first supper for 2UM2014 Ravensbank Floyd (Lewis). The first time he eats but from his mum's tits.
Ravensbank Donna, has on her first weeks birthday found rest on the balcony of the whelping box. The end of the story is pretty predictable I guess.
Ravensbank Economist (Mynte) playing sandworm.
This is the practical test of the IKEA SPEJA Tunnel. To the advantage of this product IKEA says: "Crawling helps the brain to sort sensory impressions and develops motor skills."
Beauty sleep
This is Ravensbank Observer (James) playing with a tennis ball at the age of exactly five weeks.
Play is an important factor in the physical and social development of the puppies. This is why I make a big deal of providing the puppies with toys that match their age and needs. Here the puppies from Ivy's and Leo's second litter who have fun with simple things such as a PVC-tube and a water bottle filled with some pebbles.
Video of the puppies from Ivy's first litter with Leo. Normally there would be a lot going on in the kennel, but the puppies also took time out for a good rest. The blue box which the puppies sleep in is the transportation box which I used when I took Ivy and later Jill home from kennel Tidemark in the UK.
This is one of my favourite videos of young Ravensbank Jock (Jock) at the age of 15 weeks, playing with a ball. But this is just not all play when the precious ball must be saved from the dangerous sheep.
I found this picture of 2UM2008 Ravensbank Skylark (Skylark), taken in the puppy kennel when she was five weeks old.
Ravensbank Flo (Flo) is not afraid of looking directly into the camera. Here she is 8½ weeks old.
So much play is hard work for such a little guy, and, well, you kind of get tired. This is Ravensbank Boss taking a quick nap.
An important part of the socialization of the puppies is the close contact with the bigger dogs. On this video it is Ravensbank Robin (Robin) who plays with Flo and Whizzie from Ivy's second litter.
The puppies play a lot more now during the day. Here, Boss wanted to explore the inside of a plastic pipe, but Tip decided to surprise him by giving him a spin.
The cosiest place for a sporting dog must surely be a pile of dummies. After chewing the box a bit, Tip has fallen asleep, probably dreaming of double marks.
Here, Tip and Whizzie in a howling duet.
Boss with the red cotton yarn has snuggled up to Ivy, and she looks as though she enjoys the close contact with her puppy.
